         "Signet Markovic-Todoric" is an inseparable part of the family workshop Markovic-Todoric.


          Its cultural and spiritual roots go back centuries.
The ancestors of the Markovic-Todoric family were famous Serbian deputies, generals, soldiers, architects, lawyers, poets and writers.


          Teodor Markovic-Todoric was born into such an old Belgrade family.
As a person with deep intellectual and spiritual impulses, as well as a keen sense of beauty and painting, he entered the Faculty of Art History at the University of Belgrade, where he graduated with a degree in "The Last Zograf of Serbia".


         During his studies, he met Dorothea Markovic-Todoric. Soon after graduating from the Faculty of Art History, Dorothea received the official blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilochiy of Montenegro, in order, as one of the first icon painters, to revive icon painting after a long period of its absence in our region, bringing artistic techniques from different parts of the world. An icon painting workshop “Markovic-Todoric” will soon be founded, which will work on the revival of icon painting in Serbia over the next 40 years. In addition to training a whole new generation of icon painters, a large number of painted icons, and painted monasteries and churches, Teodor and Dorothea Markovic-Todoric will directly or indirectly participate in the most important artistic events in Serbia.

Since 2006, Theodor Markovic-Todoric has been the general director of the library of the Hilandar monastery on the Holy Mountain.


Theodore and Dorothea are parents of four children who are actively involved in the work of the family workshop.


         Gleb Markovic-Todoric

   Studied theological sciences at Aristotle University in Greece, Vatican Law in Rome - Italy, and international law in Moscow.
He is engaged in scientific research in the field of history, history of law, religion, church law and church diplomacy.
He is a permanent correspondent for the Serbian magazine "Geopolitika" from Moscow, as well as the largest Orthodox Internet portal "Pravoslavie.ru".


         Blagodarna Markovic-Todoric

     Holds a master's degree with honors from the Moscow Theological Academy of the Holy Trinity Lavra in the department of icon painting, conservation and restoration of art.
After returning from Russia, she will take over the management of the family workshop Markovich-Todoric.
She will also work as a curator and organizer of the grandiose project of the Church of St. Sava in Belgrade.
In addition, she is engaged in music and singing. Plays the cello. In 2010 will be elected as Serbia's representative at Eurovoice in Athens-Greece.


         Rastislav Markovich-Todoric

    Graduated from the Moscow Theological Academy of the Holy Trinity Lavra.
Engaged in photography, graphic design, design of books, magazines and websites.
Along with his studies in Russia, he works as the chief and responsible designer of the "Vstrecha" magazine of the Moscow Theological Academy.
After returning from Russia, he will be engaged in large-scale projects in the publishing house of the Hilandar monastery on the Holy Mountain.
He is the chief editor of all graphic solutions "Print Markovic-Todoric".


         Anastasia Markovich-Todorich

    She graduated with great success from the Venice Conservatory in Italy with a Master's degree in Baroque Music, Harpsichord and Organ. After that she entered the doctorate in music of the Renaissance at the Conservatory. P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow.
She has taken part in numerous concerts, competitions and biennials throughout Europe.

She also worked for several years in the organization of the famous Venice Music Biennale and was a soloist in the choir of St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice.
She is actively involved in painting and icon painting.

"Signet of the Markovic-Todoric family" is a consequence of many years of passion for art of writing and books. Its two main directions are the libraries "Justuti" (Capital works of literature) and "Legends" (the most beautiful fairy tales and stories of Slavic peoples), through which we want to leave the pearls of wisdom and immortal monuments of culture and literature as a heritage to our homeland and future generations.


That is why "Seals of the Markovic-Todoric family" are a kind of treasure of knowledge, kindness and beauty. Our publishing house wants to preserve and enrich the Serbian people with works of enduring literary value. It is also like a warm family home in which the living stories of our ancient ancestors are kept - our tales, myths and our legends.


Knowing well that the life of a nation, like the life of a tree, depends on the viability of its roots, the publishing house "Signet of the Markovic-Todoric Family" wishes to preserve those cultural and spiritual roots of its people, which will be an indestructible basis for all the fruits of our future generations.
